This simple trick has proven to be a very comforting experience for me.

Let's look at it from scratch. In any interior space in our home, furniture plays a major role as far as comfort qualities areconcerned. Furniture is the first thing that we see. When wesay that a room is occupied it is primarily occupied by furniture.

A room without any furniture pieces in it is absolutely useless. The overall volume of the furniture elements directly affectsour comfort factors in a room.

If we consider the case of bedrooms here, a double bed is the commodity that occupies maximum space. Just imagine if we removethe double bed from your room what will happen? the room willstart looking bigger because of the perceived volume.

Now here is a little trick you can try? Instead of using a fullsized double how about using a platform bed? A platform bed is nothing but a bed with less height than a full sized bed.

So what's so special about it? Because of the reduction in heightthe overall volume of the bed as compared to other furniture piecesis less. Because of the less volume of the bed the bedroom isperceived bigger in size.
In addition to using a platform bed if bright color combinations are used such as white and yellow, a small bedroom is perceivedas a slightly bigger room.

A normal double sized bed normally measure something around1800mm(L)X1800(W)x450mm(H). But a platform bed has a slightlyless dimensions in plan and the height is about 15" that's about380mm above the floor level.

This creates a less volumetric furniture piece which is visuallymore light in weight than a full double sized bed. Platform bedsare available in wooden as well as steel structures. Manymanufacturers specifically manufacture mattresses and otheraccessories that would specifically help the easy and comfortableuse of the platform bed.
Depending upon the design/material/finishing qualities a good price range is also available. Being light in weight it can be easily movedand transported to any location within a room.

If you are looking for a easy and affordable way to furnish your bedroom, then a platform bed can be a better choice that wouldfit into your budget and create a better aesthetically visualquality.I hope you have enjoyed this text...

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Using platform beds is an excellent way to save space in small bedrooms. Steel Furniture. Which one should I choose?

Furniture is an inseparable element in home decorating. It is furniture that makes the rooms in a home habitable/usable.Depending upon the use of the room, the quanity of furniture changes.

In early ages a lot of emphasis was given on the size ofthe furniture. for example the king was give a "throne" whichclearly stated his status within the society. From thenfurniture has become a fashion trend with furniture design as a complete profession in itself.

Primarily furniture comes in two main body frames, wooden andsteel.

The wooden furniture then gets divided into many types of woodsdepending upon the type of furniture required. for exampleteak wood, cedar wood, cane furniture etc...

The steel furniture also has varieties such as stainless steel, wrought iron furniture, etc...
Very basic difference between the two types of furniture is the method of manufacturing them. Lets take a look at some of the basic pros and cons for these two types of furniture body materials.

1) Wooden Furniture

Wooden furniture is the most widely used and opted for typeof material for furniture. The main reason is ease of use. Sincewood is a soft material to work with (as compared to steel),manufacturing furniture with wood requires less amount ofinitial investment in terms of money.

Carpentry skills required to carry of furniture jobs can also beeasily learned, hence it is a popular type of furniture type. From users point of view, wooden furniture looks very aestheticand because of its soft nature decoration can be easily made onwooden surfaces.

2) Steel Furniture

Steel furniture has gained much popularity after the advancesin technology in the metallurgy field. Manufacturing of steelfurniture does require special tools and skills. The greatestadvantage of steel furniture is its strength and lifespan.

Steel furniture can be put under the category of "contemporaryfurniture". Because of the flexible manufacturing process, furniture with any size and shape can be easily designed andmanufactured today. Wooden furniture does have certain limitationswhen it comes to shapes.

But our main question remains unanswered! which one should yougo for, wooden or the steel furniture?
Of course there is not a straight forward answer for this question. You can go for a wooden theme or a complete steel theme design ora combination of both. But there is a different point of view forlooking at it and that's visual quality..

Both wooden and steel furniture has got their own visual impactson our mind. This visual impact will differ depending upon finalfinish of the furniture piece. So it's not just use of the furniture piece, but aesthetic features also matter a lot.

If you go for "all steel" furniture theme your interior spacemight look like a modern and contemporary styles, which might not be acceptable at times. On the other hand the "all wooden"furniture theme might give your space a country type of look.

Because furniture pieces are the first things which are visible when we enter any room, their selection greatly affects visualqualities of spaces.

There is one more point to consider here. If you are the kind ofperson who likes to shift the furniture layout more often, gofor steel furniture. Of course this is not the ultimate ruleof the world. I am saying this simply because it is easy to transfer the steel furniture from place to place with thehelp of wheels.

Thus whatever type of furniture you choose you must consider that it's not just usability but visual factors are equallyresponsible for the beauty of interior spaces.

I hope you have enjoyed this text...

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .Visit TODAY to get an in-depth knowledge of all types of bedrooms.
------------------------------------------------------------

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bedroom-design.blogspot.com/2006/03/wooden-vs-steel-furniture-which-one.html' title='Wooden Vs. Depending upon the age group normally bedrooms are categorized as master bedroom, teen bedroom, child/kid bedroom.

But a home building may also have a provision for a guest bedroomin it. If the architect of the building has taken enough carewhile designing the building, a guest bedroom is located on the ground floor.

I have seen home designs where a guest bedroom is deliberatelylocated on ground floor and used as a income source bygiving the room o rent. This is common practice in crowded cities.

Because of its location on ground floor it is easy togive a separate access to the space without disturbing the privacyof the entire house.

Ideally a guest bedroom should have a good natural lighting andventilation. A good view of the surroundings from the window isalso appreciated. It is like treating the guest bedroom justlike the master one. Good quality furniture with easy access to attached toilet blockis also strongly recommended. The most important aspect accordingto me is cleanliness. Since a guest has a very limited time spanto spend in his bedroom, it is extremely important to take care ofhygiene. A room which is easy to clean and maintain is preferred.

A bedroom, which is too small in area, will have restrictions as faras experimentations in design are considered. By experimentationI mean trying different furniture layouts or decorating ideas willbe somewhat restricted.
A good example to study, is to start with bedrooms in large hotel. All rooms in a hotel come under the category of "guest bedrooms"The only difference is, we "pay" to stay there, which is not thecase with a bedroom in our home. The architect of the hoteltakes good care of providing natural sunlight and ventilation anda good view of the surroundings. Thought now a days most hotelrooms have air conditioners to artificially control the internalenvironment, a provision for natural control is a must.

Use of dark colors can be avoided. You can always try to be a little creative while designing the guest bedroom. The reason here is, the guest is there at your place probably to have a change in his dailyroutine life and if a room in YOUR home gives him such a nicefeeling of "change" then he might visit again the next month.

As mentioned before in most cases the guest bedroom is locatedon the ground floor. This can be used creatively to provide anaccess to the landscaped backyard or an open patio with informalseating. The space must have a provision for sliding orfolding door shutters so that can be easily closed if required.

So the entire success of the guest bedroom design project liesin finding out how the guest feels when he/she lives there. Was shecomfortable there. Did she find things easily. Even small things likelight and fan switches, water taps in bathrooms, wardrobe shutters, door and window hinges etc.. must be kept in well maintained andproper working condition for the guest. Small thing add up and can become a reason for uncomfortable environment for the guest. That'sthe meaning of the statement "easy to maintain" which I mentioned above in this article.
I hope this article was informative to everyone.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .Here you will find some great concept level design tips for bedroom sets.
------------------------------------------------------------

Study of "Interior Design" as a reflection of the mind.

Dear friends, we as humans are a composite of mind, body and spirit. All these three in proper coordination, create the world around us. The things, which we want in life, are first created in our mind, then our mind sends signals to our brain and the brain sends signals to various parts of our body to
take action and thus "reality" gets created.

This means that whatever we imagine in our minds gets converted in reality. The program of our mind decides what we imagine. I mean if I want to decorate my bedroom, everything from the
type of furniture I choose to the budget decision will depend upon my "broader attitude" towards life.

If I am a "budget conscious" person, then this will affect right from the initial stages of the design. I will look at the design from a conservative point of view. Thus everything, which gets created in reality will have an influence of my personality.

Here I am not trying to say that only high budget designs are good. I have seen works of many interior designers, who have spent their entire lives on studying low cost design projects and also have won awards for their magnificent work.

That's why any interior design project can not be fulfilled without active participation of the client or the user. Creativity doesn't have any boundaries of budget. Any piece of art which fulfils the functional need and also the aesthetical need can be easily accepted as an architectural element. Budget is not a constraint at all. On the other hand the budget constraint sometimes is useful to generate some good ideas for a particular
problem.

An interior designer is not an artist, because an artist basically performs his acts to satisfy his own desire. This could be any performing art or other forms of arts. His piece of work may not have any functional use from user's point of view.

An interior designer is not even a technician or engineer. Because when an engineer builds a design he need not worry of making it "beautiful". His primary aim is to make it functional. He puts his entire energy in making the design functional.

That's why an interior designer is one who satisfies both the functional as well as aesthetical part of the design. Sometimes it is easy to accomplish the functional part of an interior design, but since the definition of beauty is different for everyone, it is extremely difficult to satisfy each and every user's aesthetic hunger.

This is particularly true about interiors in public spaces. For example a bank building has a definite use and function for all the users. We can safely create a list of functions a person would perform when he visits a bank. But this does not mean the bank reflects his personality, like the first paragraph of this article mentions.

That's why interiors in public spaces always are designed by taking into consideration something called as "mass personality". This is a general attitude of the kind of mindset everyone would have or is likely to have when he/she visits that space. If you visit large corporate software office premise, you will see this picture.

Office interiors always have a certain kind of order in them. The use of colors, design styles have a kind of commitment in them, which is expected from you when you work there.

On the other hand a bar or a restaurant has some sort of mood generating atmosphere, which sets you loose. Because this is what is expected in a public space like a restaurant.

Thus any interior space is always associated with people. A space which serves its functions best and makes the users comfortable is bound to succeed as a favorite place.

I hope this article was informative to everyone.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of
Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .Here you will find some great concept level design tips for all types of bedrooms
------------------------------------------------------------

How to use wall finishes in a bedroom design project?

Dear friends, any interior space is composed of some primaryarchitectural elements such as walls, floor and ceiling.Depending upon the type of structural framework, the construction method would change.

We always see experience and perceive any interior spacein elevation. This means that walls are the first things ofany structure that create an impact on our mind. The qualityand volume formed because of the walls define an architectural structure.

When we enter a building, what we primarily and dominantly perceive are walls. Let's see how walls can be used as an excellent element in a bedroom design project.

1) Exposed Brick walls.

In order to use these kind of walls it is necessary to preplan the interior design schedule. Normally if a brick wall is tobe kept exposed (without plaster), it is built with high qualitybricks which are machine cut for high quality and accuracy.

Since bricks have their own color and texture, this option canbe used to create a color contrast by keeping only one wallexposed and other with a contrasting color. This can add someinterest in the bedroom.

2) Exposed plaster walls.

An exposed plaster wall is a wall which has not been painted.

These kind of walls are very rarely used in interiors. Sincethe plaster is a composite material using appropriate qualitiesof cement, sand and aggregate, the final material has a dullcolor. A dull color on a space like bedroom would expressa kind of depression, hence is not recommended.

But portions of a wall with preplanned design and sketching canbe used in association with exposed brick wall. Designpattern with partly colored and partly exposed plaster can be a good idea.

Or a completely exposed plaster wall with a design patter in grooves can be used effectively.

3) Wall with tile cladding.

Tile cladding is what we see in kitchen above the cooking platform. Tile cladding is also used in bathrooms and toilets. These are normally ceramic tiles.

In a bedroom interesting patterns can be created to fake theexposed brick wall mentioned above. Many excellent patterscan be used just like a jigsaw puzzle.

4) Paintings.

The word painting has two meanings here.

a) A wall with plane colors applied to it. This is done above the plastered surface of the wall. Two or three coats of the desiredshade of the color and base material are applied.

b)Secondly, instead of using plane colors, the entire wall canbe used as a "canvas" to paint a story or mural. This is a verygood method to paint children bedrooms. Walls can be used as astoryboard to create interest.

5) Wallpapers.

Applying a wallpaper is an excellent way to quickly change the look and feel of the bedroom. Depending upon the "theme" of the roommany wallpaper patterns are available.

Wallpapers are very good in large bedrooms. In large bedroom"emptiness" is a big problem. If there are not enough decorating elements available, a room might look empty. Here wallpapers canserve as fillers and quickly add some interest in the room.

6)Textured plaster walls.

These kind of walls need special techniques to create a texturedpattern on walls. Once a texture is applied any shade ofpaint can be used.

One of the great thing about these walls is, when sunlight falls on them, a very interesting play of light and shadows gets created.Because of the undulations in the surface of the plaster, smallshadows form on the surface of the wall, giving it a visualquality.

A wall in the bedroom which receives direct sunlight should bechosen for this purpose.

This article shows you how various options to the existing wallfinishes are possible, that can enhance the quality of thebedroom interior space.

I hope this article was informative to everyone.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .Here you will find some great concept level design tips for all types of bedrooms
------------------------------------------------------------

How to use accessories in a bedroom decorating project?

Any interior space is primarily composed of walls, floor andceiling. These elements give a habitable character to theinterior space.

Apart from providing protection from natural elements such asrain, snow, wind and other natural calamities, an interiorspace is also responsible for creating moods, depending upon thetheme of the decoration.

Depending upon the functional purpose of the interior space, thequality and quantity of the furniture and other elements maychange. For example a "meditation center" might not requireany furniture at all, but a gymnasium on the other hand requiresspecially designed equipment.

For the sake of this article we are only going to concentrate onbedrooms. A bedroom is a space, which is close to our heart. Thisis the space where we take rest and regain the vital energyforce for the next day's work. A typical bedroom consists ofa double/single bed depending upon the size and occupancy of theroom, wardrobe, study table, chairs for informal gathering, dressing table, side tables adjacent to the bed for keepingitems such as telephone, watch, etc..

Since a bulk of volume gets occupied with the furniture pieces, the beauty of a bedroom greatly depends upon the quality of thefurniture. But that's not all. Any interior space can be greatly enhanced using "accessories" and some great amount of detailingcan be added to an existing bedroom with furniture.

1)Use of decorative curtains.

These are called as "valances" are a very good means to decorate the windows and other openings. These decorative curtains have 2 purposes.a) They define a window opening b) They diffuse the incoming sunlightand help the dispersion of light evenly. Valances can be easily be prepared at home with some basic knowledge of stitching.

2)Wall Hangings

Wall hangings are used as an alternative for wall paintings. These have a great advantage that they can be prepared from almostany material. Some possible options for material use could bematt finished paper, handmade paper, silk cloth, bamboo sticks, jeans cloth!, wool, plastic sheets, crape papers, etc...Small square pieces of these materials along with bits of mirrors pieces can be creatively used to prepare a wall hanging.

3)Wall Paintings.

The choice of the painting in this case highly depends upon thelikes/dislikes of the user. Also the nature of the surface on whichthe painting is going to be, is also important.

4)Photographs

Most people like to use framed photographs of the family members, ancestors, or some live stills from outside world. This method has gota great advantage. The user has got perfect control over whichkind of photos to choose. Photographs of real people can greatly adda human touch to an interior space.

5)Statues

These greatly add to the quality of the space. In case of bedroomsthe statues which can add some interest to the overall theme can be used. Some gift articles come in the form of statues or a watch embedded in it can serve two purposes at a time. They add some grace to the design and at the same time, become a useful functional piece.

6)Shade Loving Plants.

Depending upon the size of the bedroom, lots of varieties of shadeloving plants are available today. If the plant is a flowering one, then this can be very creatively used. A flowering plant can greatly add to the mood of an space because of its changing nature offoliage and color.

7)Decorative Lamp Shades.

Decorative lamp shades have a very unique quality attached tothem. Because they are functional mostly at night times, the shapeof the lamp shade itself can be chosen in such a way, that will addsome interest in the bedroom. During its functional times a lampshadewhich is made of semitransparent cloth covers can add somewonderful ambience in the interior space.

8)Free standing wooden partitions.

These are used in large bedroom to define certain areas of thesame space into different parts. for example a wooden partitioncan be used to segregate a study space inside a bedroom ora decorative wooden partition can be used to hide the direct entry to the toilet, by creating a private area.

These are some of the ideas I have come up with randomly. Thesecan be a good starting point. You can always come up with more goodand creative ideas of your own. A very creative use of these accessories can definitely sheer up an interior space.

I hope this article was informative to everyone.
Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .Here you will find some great concept level design tips for master bedrooms.
------------------------------------------------------------

The Oriental Vs. Contemporary bedroom design theory.

Dear friends,

If you have read any interior design books/articles, visiteda few websites on the internet, you will find the word theme used quite often.

What exactly is a theme-based design?

A theme according to me is a collection of various parameters ofdesign of an interior space. So a theme may include a certain setcolors, materials, repetition of a certain element, such asa decorative item, etc...
Primarily there are two basic themes under which a design canbe categorized, 1)Oriental 2)Contemporary.

Oriental Bedroom Design Theme:

These kind of themes have a still drilled down niche designthemes, such as country, rustic, vintage, elegant, etc...One of the major thing about these kind of themes is that muchemphasis is given on the natural beauty of any material. These designs are close to nature or are shown to be close tonature.

These kind of design styles are very rarely found in the urbancity interiors. Mostly the countryside homes adopt these kind ifthemes, to replicate the flora and fauna of the outside environment.

The designer tries to include the patters seen in nature, such asleaves, flowers, plants. All these natural patterns are seen onwallpaper patterns, decorative lamps, curtains, furnitureupholstery, wall paintings, etc...

Homes which are build on country side such as farm houses, the scarcityof space is not an issue, but this creates another problem as far as designing interiors is concerned.

A bedroom, no matter of what size it is, requires some basicfurniture elements as functional needs, such as a double bed, dressing table, wardrobes, study tables, a book shelf etc..

It is sometimes possible that because of the large spaces, thebedroom looks empty after the furniture is arranged. At suchtimes "decoration" plays a major role. During ancient yearsthe palaces and castles had such large built spaces, whereextensive use of decoration was used in the form of paintings, heavy decorative flooring patterns, carvings, moldings as a decorative architectural elements.

So in this oriental design trend, decoration of the space usingvarious accessories plays a major role.

Contemporary design Theme:

These kind of design themes are very new as compared to thepreviously mentioned oriental design theme. But how did the designers came along using these kind of designs?

During the starting years of the 20th century, the "IndustrialRevolution" in Europe changed the face of our planet. Itwas easy to design and manufacture goods on a mass scalewith amazing speed and efficiency.

This created a flood of industries in and around the cities. These cities attracted large amount of people to migrate fromrural areas to city centers in search of a living.

Because of this migratory effect there was a sudden need ofhousing requirement for the workers. This is where the concept of an "apartment" was introduced. Because of the pressure of demand,a school of thoughts emerged within the architects, whobelieved that "simplicity" is the need of today's era.

They thought that, the design of the building has to be simpleand easy to build, then only we can compete with the growingdemand of housing needs in cities. That's why simple designs with mostly plane and square faces with square or rectangular openingswere used. These forms and masses were easy to build and stillbeautiful. If everything from "safety pins" to "space ships" could be built on a mass scale, why not "buildings".

The school of thought believed that a plane rectangular formis in itself beautiful and they proved this using infinitepermutations and combinations of the basic square form. That'swhy decoration was given a second preference. Today we call thisschool of thought as "contemporary". In contemporary designevery element has an order.

That's why in today's modern interior design, simplicity is thekey to an efficient design. Unlike the previous oriental designtheme, the contemporary design theme states that any kind of architectural decoration is always dependent on the basic form of the building. The form itself is so beautiful, that the needto further decorate it is not required. Today's modern interiorsspaces are simple to understand, simple to construct, andproject a kind of simplicity.

By reading the above paragraphs some of you might say that, decoration is no more needed. But this is not true. I am not tryingto force some ideas here. But most people confuse the wholeconcept of "Interior Design" and "Interior Decoration". Bothare quite different and both have a unique value in today's complex society.

Decoration was something the primitive man learned, looking atthe nature around him. He saw plants, flowers, birds, animalsand tried to copy these elements. We still use "embroidery" onour dresses. But the modern design theory says that any sortof decoration can only "enhance" the existing form, but can not be an element of design.

What does this mean?

In the above said example the "embroidery" pattern can certainlyadd to the beauty of the cloth, but the modern theory denies toaccept the cloth to be of a cheap quality. It states that every form, texture, material, shape is in itself beautiful and must beaccepted as it is. Because of this the need to further decorate itdoes not arise.

Thus decoration whether used in architecture or elsewhere is alwaysdependant on the form on which it is used, but design isan independent entity which does not need any justification from theexternal factors.

The two design themes mentioned above are still widely used today. The user must look upon them from a point of view of what best suitshis/her likes and dislikes. Only then can you give yourself andyour family the best quality of living.

I hope this article was informative to everyone.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .Visit TODAY to get an in-depth knowledge of bedrooms
------------------------------------------------------------

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bedroom-design.blogspot.com/2006/02/oriental-vs-contemporary-bedroom.html' title='The Oriental Vs. These are in the form of questions.

The best part is, answers to these questions can give rise toa very successful design in itself. Let's see how.
If I am planning to design a piece of furniture, let's say a double bed, immediate I start relating to what I alreadyknow about double beds, some picture/image I have alreadyseen, something I have seen in some furniture shop, etc...Then I start thinking about what material I should thinkabout, the budget, dimensions, age group of people who aregoing to use it, etc... If you answer these questions one byone on a paper, you will get a blueprint of the design process, so that you can convert in into technical drawings, with all the joinery details and finally the product.

Amongst above mentioned questions some are directly related tofunction of the double bed as a piece of furniture.

What does this mean?

When I ask myself, what should be the dimensions of a doublebed? I have very little freedom to decide the dimensions ofthe bed, because there are certain norms to be followed in order to serve it's basic function and that's comfort.

But what if I say that I will keep the overall surface area of the bed same , but make it round in plan. Will it be ok..

Now here I am trying to achieve both function and aesthetics, without sacrificing the comfort of the person who will use it.So during any design process there will be times when thedesigner need to take some decisions where he has to keepaside his wildest ideas and pay attention to function first.

That's why the true success of an interior design project isa good balance between function and aesthetics.
Expressing this kind of balance through design is not an easytask, because function is universally accepted, but aesthetics, not always.

What does this mean?

Beauty is always relative. A washbasin has a common universalfunction of an appliance to be used for washing hands, but it'sbeauty is relative. What is beautiful for me, might not holdtrue for you.

So a design expression can have a unique style of the designer himself. It is possible that the designer is morecomfortable with certain kinds of materials/finishes/colorschemes, etc.. which can reflect in his designs.
In spite of these personal touches a good designs always caters the needs of the user first. A good designer hasa certain kind of convincing power in his/her style whichhe uses to expresses in the design without sacrificing the likes/dislikes of the user.

There are designers who are more comfortable in designing onlya certain kind space such as bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, public spaces such as restaurants, clubs, gymnasiums.

Of course this is entirely of a personal choice, but there is this same message in their designs, shell out your egoand design for the best parameters with worst possibilitiestaken into considerations. This is what gives birth to a great design.

I hope this article was helpful.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
For more powerful and in-depth concept level knowledge ofbedroom design visit Bedroom-Design-And-decorating-Ideas.com. The typeof color used and the type of combinations used will decidewhat kind of interest the space will express when it's beenpainted with a color scheme.

Let's see what are the types of colors

1)Hot Color Schemes

Primarily red and Yellow color lies in this category. These colors have an excitatory effect on human mind and hence areused in spaces where human activity is rapid and excitatory.
Such spaces are Circus Tents, Pubs, Sports Complexes, etc.. Inall these spaces physical activity is the primary function andhence a proper use of hot color scheme can greatly add to thequality of space.

2)Cool Color Schemes

Primarily Blue and Green fall under these category. These colorstend to create a soothing effect. Because its cool nature these are used where physical activity is of less importance.
Such spaces are bedrooms, hospitals, etc... You will extensive green in hospitals because of its cool nature.

3)Neutral color schemes.

Primarily White, Black and shades of these two i.e. Gray fallunder this category. Black and white when use with the hot or cool color scheme can shift the effect of hotness or coolness ofboth predominant color schemes.

Apart from these three basic color schemes infinite combinationsof all these colors is possible which can give rise to qualitiessuch as contrast, brightness, shallowness, etc...
In spite of such enduring qualities of the color schemes in interiordesign, color has a certain weakness built in itself.

The kind of emotion the color will evoke in human mind is directlydependant on two major factors.

1)The quality of surface on which it is applied.
2)The quality of light which falls on the colored surface.

These two factors must never be ignored. If there is no light, there is no identification of the color itself. A red coloredsurface will look different in morning dim sunlight, afternoonharsh sunlight and evening sunlight. Also it will have somemore exciting effect if an artificial light is projected on the surface.

A rough surface painted with a soothing color such as white willhave different appearance that a plain surface painted with white. Also if sunlight falls of a rough surface, it will cast minuteshadows of the details caused because of the roughness, thus limiting the smooth effect, the white color can cause.

Some designers have actually used this as a benefit to arouseinterest in a space. Apart from these every material on this planethas his own color. The brick exposed walls already have their ownreddish/brown color with a rough surface. The mortar joints betweenthe bricks also have their own color and texture.

That's why color in interior design is not something, which mustbe applied or not applied, but it is only a visual element whichis already present in our environment. The space is more importantthan the color and the appropriate color scheme will greatlyenhance the visual quality of the space attained by its form.

What does this mean?

We are used to live in rectangular spaces. The rooms in ourhome are predominantly rectangular in volume. But imaginea bedroom which is circular and also has a domical roof on top.
Here the form of the space itself is so exciting, that color playsa secondary role. Here the form of the space itself creates excitement, which could otherwise be achieved using a hotcolor scheme in a rectangular volume.

That's why any color scheme in interior design is alwaysdependant on the form of the space, quality of the surface on which it is applied and the amount of light it accepts.

I hope this article was informative to everyone.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .Visit TODAY to get an in-depth knowledge of bedrooms and their decorating.
------------------------------------------------------------

How to generate ideas for your bedroom design?

Dear friends,

So, you want to design your bedroom. Hmm... looks like youare serious about it.

Lets' get started quickly. whenever I hear someone sayhe/she wants to design/decorate a bedroom a lot of thingscome to my mind.

But, let me clear one thing design and decorating are twodifferent aspects. When I say design, I mean a whole lotbigger perspective. Design includes a lot more maturity interms of how you perceive a space from within.
Of course I will cover more about design in some other article.Decoration is more close to everyday actions that can betaken in order to change or alter a space. Decoration deals with accessories used in a space. Very small things, such ascurtain rods, their color, lampshades, small statues, tablecloths, light fittings, are all parts of the detailing.

It is not that design does not deal with these aspects, butdecoration is more do-able easily than the whole designprocess.

If you are not aware of the decoration techniques, or where to start, I will give you a list of some place whereyou can observe and get inspiration.

1)Of course, the World Wide Web: this Internet is a good place to start. But the information on the internet is not always compiled and sorted out, the way you want it to be, so you might have to look deep.

2)Local Book stores: Interior design magazines, books, brochures from furniture manufacturers is a good source of inspiration. These books and magazines do their best to find out Works of successful designers, which can be quite inspiring.

3)Exhibitions: Exhibitions held by manufacturers of interior design products, can be a good source as well.

4)Movies and TV shows: Yes, these have a very high project budgets, so spend thousands of dollars every year to decorate the sets. Just keep your eyes open and you will definitely find some good themes in these too.

5)Look for hobby groups around in your city, look for seminars of those who are successful artists. Bedroom decoration includes detailing and paying attention to small things. Visit art galleries, where you can find some good paintings, other related artwork, which can enhance the beauty of your space.

Finally I would like to say that it's your room and youare the only person who knows better about your likes and dislikes. So start out immediately because "When There IsWill, There Is A Way".

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya

------------------------------------------------------------
If you want more detailed information about bedrooms and the psychological concepts behind every type of bedroom visit Bedroom-design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com today for a fresh insight and some good books on this subject.
------------------------------------------------------------

How to design a Child bedroom?

Dear friends,

Children at age of 1 1/2 start to walk, talk and expressthemselves. Their parents are the role models for them. They learn to perform action which their parent teachthem.

Based on these teachings children vey quickly learn a taste about everything in life. This includes, the food they eat, the kind of toys they play with, the kind offriends they will make etc..

For a growing child it is necessary to expolre new things, apart from what his/her mom/dad teaches. A bedroom is agreat place to do this. When planned properly, a child bedroom can greatly enhance his/her learning experience.

Children have a curious mind. Even a child which is yet tospeak, this curiosity can be easily traced by looking at the broken toys, torn books, etc..

That's why as a bedroom designer creating spaces within the structural walls, using intersting furniture elements, cangralty help to add some curious thinking. Furniture piecesspecifically designed to create an adventure can be proposed.

Instead of using plain colored walls, theme base paintings, such as AESOP stories, fairy tales, can be painted on walls. These picturesd can include animals, trees, vehicles, humanbeings of different age groups. This gives an extra learningedge, because there is lot to learn about the world as a whole.

Creative flooring patterns can also be a good starting point. At the same time use of ceiling space as a storyboard can be used to give a knowledge of the "sun and moon".

Furniture with level differences can act as a way whichtends to give physical exercise and at the same time createa space of their own.

As far as linen is concerned, it should be easy to maintain, because it is more likely to get dirty and messy frequently.Above all these factors what is most important is a good natural light and free flowing air can add to the healthyatomsphere.

From above discussipn it is quite clear that bedroom design is not just arranging a few furniture pieces and arranging them in the physical space. It is much related to how humansreact to diferent artificially created materials, which includestheir color, texture, finishes, etc..

If used creatively it can greatly improve the quality of humanlife. I hope this article was helpful for moms/dads and alsofor the designers.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
If you want more detailed information about all types of bedrooms and the psychological concepts behind every type of bedroom visit Bedroom-design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com today for a freshinsight
------------------------------------------------------------

The concept of dynamic space in bedroom design.

Dear friends, can you define the term "space". By space I don'tmean the universe or the astronomical point of view. A spaceis the area which is enclosed between walls, floor and ceilingand which can be used as a habitual room.

Any empty bedroom space has certain parameters attached to itthe moment it gets created.
What are these parameters?

First of all the length, width, and height , the physicaldimensions of the bedroom. These three have a unique relation to each other. Rooms with less length and width and too muchheight or too broad length and width and less height are notproportionate and tend to create discomfort.

But there are special cases where too much of height is anecessity. Some examples are church buildings, cinema halls. Here it is necessary to accommodate large group of peopleand project a kind if grandness through design.
That's why the space gets altered depending upon the use or"function" of the space. Hence in a bedroom the space takesa form of its own depending upon inners activities of the space.

Let's see how.

Any bedroom space has certain leakage points attached toit. By "leakage" I don't mean rain water or any other kindof stuff coming in. The bedroom space is likely to have exitpoint attached to it, like following,

1)Exit to backyard.
2)Exit to attached toile block.
3)Exit to attached walk-in closet
4)Exit to balcony or terrace.
5)Openings of windows.

Depending upon the location of these, an imaginary travel pathgets fixed starting from the entrance door of the bedroom. Thisimaginary travel path forces the user to arrange the furniture,in a way which will not create obstruction in the path.

After the furniture has been arranged, what remains is the spaceused for circulation inside the bedroom. If the bedroom has asmall area and too many exit points (as mentioned above), thenthe room is left with a fixed furniture layout.

At such times the success of the bedroom decorating projectlies in detailing. By detailing I mean small things such asupholstery materials, color schemes, furniture textures and finishes.

But with bedrooms which have large areas, the moment you change the furniture layout, the circulation space takesa new form and the entire room looks a new one. This iswhat I mean by "dynamic space" which takes a new shape.

It's like that example of the glass half filled with water. The moment you change the quantity of water space alters and the glass looks different.

Here we have come to an interesting conclusion of this article. From the above discussion one thing is very clear. The "personality" of a space can be easily altered by allowing the empty circulation space to take a new form.
In interior design everyone talks about furniture, colors, textures, paints, wallpapers, etc... but no one talks about "Empty Space"which is equally powerful. Finally it is the empty space whichremains and is a measure of the comfort level for the user.If there is very less empty space remaining in a room after the furniture is placed, it is considered uncomfortable.

I hope this article was informative to everyone.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .Visit TODAY to get an in-depth knowledge of all tytpes of bedrooms
------------------------------------------------------------

Thinking about Home Improvement? Then here's a checklist!

Dear friends, if you are planning to improve/renovate orrefurnish your home then this article can be a veryuseful guide and save your lot of time.

When it comes to home improvement, most people think thatit's has to do with painting the house from inside outand forget about it.

But any architectural structure is much more than just wallsand ceiling. There are many systems working simultaneously which keep the building under function.

Let's have a look at these systems one by one.

1) Structural System:

This includes the support system of the entire building, namelyfoundation, columns, beams, slabs(in R.C.C structure). The most commonly used structural systems is R.C.C. Other typesinclude steel and wood.
While renovating a building special attention must be given tothe structural support system. Slabs should be checked to beleak proof. Columns and beams which are exposed to external atmosphere must be checked for damage. R.C.C structural members are always covered with plaster. This plaster must be withoutdamage.
In case of steel structures, anti-rust treatment must be appliedwherever necessary.
In case of wooden structure anti-termite treatment must be appliedwherever necessary.

2) Plumbing System:

All pipelines which carry water in and out of the structure mustbe checked for leakage. The main are of possible leakage isat the joints, hence must be carefully treated.

Water taps at the washbasins, inside bathrooms, kitchen sinks, toilet blocks, should be checked for good and smooth operatingconditions.

3)Drainage System:

Drainage from kitchen, bathrooms, toilets should have an unobstructedand shortest path to outside chambers. Any clogging of these lines can cause overflowing of the chambers, hence should be checkedand cleaned.

4)Electrical Systems:

This starts with the main supply of the electricity from thelocal authorities. The point of entering the main supply should bechecked for any excessive disturbance in voltage levels, whichmight cause damage to electrical appliances inside.

All switch boards and switches in respective rooms should be checkedfor proper and safe functioning. Security systems such as earthing and M.C.B's should be checked for safe functioning.

5) Doors and Windows

These form an important part of any structure as far as safetyis concerned. Proper functioning of the doors and windowshutters is necessary. If your home has a security alarm systeminstalled, then it must be kept updated and in proper working condition.

Door and window shutter hinges should be applied with lubricantsfor smooth operations. I case of sliding doors and windows, trackswhich allow sliding should be dust free.

6) Glass Panes

All glass panes used on windows and doors should be dust free.Any broken or cracked glass panes should be replaced immediately.

If the building has a skylight, then it should be checked to beleak proof and clean, to allow clear and unobstructed sunlight inthe interiors.

7) Flooring Materials

In most cases tiles are used for flooring. All tiles should bechecked for cracks and most importantly leveling.
In every home flooring has a natural slope to avoid cloggingof water if any such situation arises. Tiled flooringmust be checked at joints. Any cracks in joins must bechecked with proper bonding material.
In case of wooden flooring, extra care must be taken to keepthe flooring termite-free.

8) Wall Plaster and Wall Paint.

All external walls must be checked from outside for a properlayer of plaster. Plaster prevents the rainwater to seep insidethe structure. If external plaster gets damaged, rain waterseeps inside causing dampening of walls.
All internal walls must be checked for scraping of paint.

8) Furniture and Carpentry Items.

All furniture items must be termite free and sturdy at the joints. A coat of good quality wooden polish can add life to the furniture pieces.

Other carpentry work includes door and window shutters, doorand window frames.

9) Other Accessories.

This includes small thing which matter a lot, such as all the locking arrangement at doors, windows, towel rods in the bathroom/wash basins, arrangement to dry washed clothes, storage arrangements in kitchen/bathroom.

10)External Systems

This can include a solar water heater, electric pumps to pushthe water from underground water tank to Overhead water tank.,Cable TV antennas.

All these systems must be checked for proper functioning.

From the above discussion it is clear that proper functioningof any architectural structure is dependant of many complex systems which work simultaneously.

Hence all these must be given attention and respect. Any buildingis just like a human body, with movable and stationary parts. If dealt with proper care can give a very healthy living experiencefor years to come.

I hope this article was helpful to everyone.

Copyright 2005 Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .Visit TODAY to get an in-depth knowledge of bedroom/'>http://www.bedroom-design-and-decorating-ideas.com">Bedroom Design, Bedroom Furniture Sets, Bedroom Decorating Ideas.
-----------------------------------------------------------

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bedroom-design.blogspot.com/2006/01/thinking-about-home-improvement-then.html' title='Thinking about Home Improvement? Becauseof this the face of the furniture is a major factor iscreating the mood of an space.

2)Interior Color Scheme:

Color has a direct effect on humanmind. Color can make the room smaller or bigger than itis. For example dark rooms are perceived smaller in volumethan those with bright and cheerful colors.

It's not the room which changes, it's the effect of the color which our mind picks up.

3)Wallpapers:

Wallpaper is a good alternative to using paints on walls. The greatest advantage of using wallpapers is thatthey can be applied quickly.

Using wallpapers with design patterns can quickly alter a space and give a "rich" look to a space. Wallpapers areavailable in washable types as well.

The only problem with wallpapers is that they can get tornbecause of sharp edges of furniture items. If you have children in your family then maintaining a them can be alittle nuisance.

4)Upholstery and Linen:

This includes bed sheets, cushion covers, curtains, carpets, etc.. All these are dependent on somethingelse. What does this mean?

Curtains are always in association with doors, windows orother openings in walls. So the texture/color/finish of curtainsdefine a frame to the openings thus affecting the interior space.
Other upholstery items are dependant on shape and size of thefurniture on which they are used. That's why a clever useof color/texture/finishes can greatly enhance the furniture piece thus altering the overall grade of the space.

5)Lighting:

A well planned electrical and lighting plancan greatly enhance the interior space. Depending upon theinternal arrangement of the furniture lighting can be usedto enhance certain areas of the space.

Spotlights and filler lights can be used as and whererequired. Filler lights are used to achieve a uniform lighting, which is normally available during daytime from sunlight.

Spotlights used in the form of lampshades can be used to catera specific area such as study tables, bedsides. Apartfrom these two types decorative lamps used as hangings canadd extra mood to the space.

6)Project Budget:

Budget is a very important factor in any project. Professional designers are very skilled in maintaininga balance between creative designs and economical design.

A design which is economical yet projects a highly creativemood is very hard to achieve. However a good market researchcan easily make you a good and sensitive designer. Keepingin mind the various materials available in market and proposingthem in designs is a good practice.

I would like to make one important point here. A design withexpensive an expensive budget is not necessarily a good design.A simple and aesthetically pleasing design solution can easilybe achieved with creative thinking of what you already havewith you.

From the above discussion you can fairly assume that a slightchange in any one of the above factors can alter the appearance your bedroom. If you are planning to refurnish your bedroom, you can use this as a dummy checklist to organize the entireprocess.

I hope this article was helpful for everyone.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya.

----------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com. Such a room always looksspacious, but lacks a "personality".

The moment you start adding some furniture, the spacestarts to attract a face on itself. Depending upon thevolume of the objects being put, the space gets altered ina dynamic fashion.

A typical home consists of a living room, bed room(s), kitchen, toilet blocks, family room, study room etc.. All thesespaces have their own specific function from the user'spoint of view.

When these spaces get furnished the previous identity ofan empty space get blocked by the objects being placed. The face of the furniture object, is the new face of theroom. Whenever you enter these rooms, you see the new facefirst, since the furniture occupies quite a bit of floorand wall space.

Any habitual space also has one more important aspectattached to it. Every habitual space always has windowsas a necessary functional arrangement. Depending upon thefunction of the room the space can have doors as well.

These openings in walls create a kind of attachment of theinterior space with outside natural world. This is a verypowerful aspect in any design project. If the outside floraand fauna is densely populated with natural elements suchas trees, water, mountains, this reflects clearly anddirectly on the choice of furniture the designer wouldmake in the inside spaces.

If the home is located in a crowd urban cityscape, the choice of design theme would be different. The choiceof furniture is directly related to comfort level of everyindividual. Selecting furniture which goes with theentire theme as well as satisfies the person on thecomfort scale can change the way the room feels.

So the personality of an interior space is largely dependanton what's happening outside the space, rather than the spaceitself. The outside events such a presence of seashore, flowing river, mountain ranges, snow falls, or even ahighway full of traffic can greatly alter the furnishing.

For example if your home is just next to a busy street, youmight want to use cane curtains on windows which wouldcut-off all the noise easily. So the use of curtains has altered the face of the room to some extent and thus forcesthe designer to make appropriate choices for other objectsin the room, which would easily merge with the texture, color, finish of the cane curtains.

On the other hand if your home is on a sea shore, youmight go in for curtains which block the heavy wind, butdon't block the beautiful view. Here again the room wouldhave a different face and the entire theme makes a shifton itself.

I hope this article was helpful for everyone.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya.
----------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com. Professional designers are trained to designvarious elements of the space in a way that would be mosteconomical without sacrificing the beauty of their design.

This balancing act between money end and the aesthetic end isa difficult task. But before even chalking out a budget planthere are certain things that need to be considered here.

When it comes to finalizing budget, some people depend entirelyon the designer. Since the cost of the entire project directlydepends upon the finishes and materials used, they think thatthe designer will take care of all the economic aspects tillthe execution. But in practical life this may not happen.

If you are not quite sure about what you really want out of thedecorating project, I mean the real purpose of this whole decorationproject, you might end up spending a lot more that what youcan actually afford to.
The reason I am talking this way is, many people unconsciouslybelieve that "expensive design is a good design solution". Which isnot always true. Of course expensive design will look good andimpressive, but need not be beautiful. This is especially true with personal spaces such as a bedroom.

That's why it is first necessary for you to understand from within, why do you want to decorate or redecorate your bedroom. You canask yourself questions like these....

1)Do I want more comfort in my room?
2)Do I want to feel good amongst other fellow colleagues in my office?
3)Do I want to spend some money on decorating because I have never done it before?
4)Is there any special purpose for such decorating work, for example your wedding or Christmas holidays?
5)Any other you can think of....

Now let's try to answer any one question from the above list.Let's say I select the first question and answer it as "yes, I needmore comfort in my bedroom."

Now if I want more comfort in my room I can easily chalk out a listof points that causing my room to be uncomfortable at this present moment. If altering only a few amongst them will make my room morebright and cheerful, I won't go in for a full and heavy decorating project with loads of work and money being spent.
Writing down out those defective areas and doing a little marketresearch on the web or local stores/yellow pages can fairly givean idea of the pricing and budget requirements.

So the most important is "purpose" of your decorating project. If thepurpose of your decorating project changes, you will have to facea different set of problems. For example if you want to decorate yourbedroom because it's your marriage, then probably you will have toadd or alter certain amenities because then you will be sharing theroom with your husband/wife.

In such a case you might go in for a full design and remodelingproject, where your would be life partner will also participate infinalizing various aspects of design such as color schemes, finishes, and also the budget.
This was just a small snippet of what and how you can easily controlthe budget in a decorating project. I will try t throw some morelight on budget issues in my future articles.

Till then, happy reading....

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya discusses some excellent tips on home renovation at Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .You will also find some great concept level thinking on bedrooms and decorating ideas.
------------------------------------------------------------

How to kickstart a good bedroom design project?

Dear friends,

Any room in your home is primarily a space within walls, floorand a ceiling. When the structure or the apartment getsconstructed, the architect and the structural contractor hastaken all the care that it is stable and can withstand outsidenatural forces like, earthquakes, heavy winds, rainfalls, etc..

Amongst all other rooms the bedroom is a space where comfortlevels have to be kept maximum. But the word comfort is a relative term. The meaning of comfort is not just a sleep of8 hours. A good sleep inside a bedroom is a bare minimum expectation which can not be ignored.

But comfort varies from person to person. For someone itfeels good by just sitting in a rocking chair, sipping a cupof coffee and enjoying good view around the house or forsomeone it could be listening to good music or watching nightsky full of stars.

So when it comes to design any space many aspects come intoconsideration. Design is not just arrangement of furniture, choosing color schemes, deciding textures/finishes etc..Ithas to deal with "feeling good" about the space.

Of course all these factors when used in a unique way, canturn out to be a great design. The above mentioned "feel good" factor comes about by selecting a "theme" based design.
When we try to look towards the empty space through a theme, everything gets a definition and can be dealt uponeasily.

Let's see an example.

If I decide to decorate a bedroom which is empty, first Iwill have to decide on a particular style to execute. If it'smy own bedroom then I must know what kind of style best suitsmy personality. This choice of style will greatly influence, the kind of furniture, color scheme, finishes I use.

Here I can go for contemporary style/oriental style/countrystyle. All these have a unique set of parameters right fromthe layout of furniture to what diameter should I use for thecurtain rods.
A design deals with a big view starting from furniture layout and goes in-depth, deciding with each and every minute detailsof linen. All these affect the final expression, which isrequired for "feeling good". All these detailing will changethe moment to shift from your theme/style.

That's why by fragmenting the entire design process into themeoptions can make the process easier and gives a direction tostart the execution of any project.

If you are designing for someone else, it's a good idea tofirst know your client's likes and dislikes. I mean hispersonality, his hobbies, his job profile, etc... Rememberthat HE is going to use this room, it's his baby.

Of course once you start with a theme, it normally happensthat you will get more richer and creative ideas duringprimary sketching process.

I hope this article was helpful.

Copyright 2005 Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
For more powerful and in-depth concept level knowledge of bedroom design visit Bedroom-Design-And-decorating-Ideas.com . Everyone of usknows that a home is not just a structure of bricks and mortar.it's an experience.

A typical home consists of at least a living room, bedroom(s),kitchens, toilet blocks, dining room. This my vary dependingupon a home is an apartment or a unit in the neighborhood.

Amongst the above mentioned rooms, the bedroom is the most important space.
Why?
Because this is where we are most comfortable. This is wherewe express our deepest emotions to our loved ones. This iswhere we sleep and gain energy to work for tomorrow.

A bedroom design project includes a careful study of the surrounding of the entire home. When an architect plans a home, he takes into consideration many parameters forthe location of various spaces.
Lets take an example of the bedroom itself.

While deciding the location of the bedroom, an architectmight go through the following checklist.
* North direction
* Path of the sun.
* Surrounding landscapes.
* Presence of other natural elements such as lake, flowing river, seashore, etc.. which could be visible through bedroom window.
* Wind direction.
* Manmade other features, such as tall buildings, roads, etc..

These external factors directly affect the interior of a bedroom. This is true with any space and not only bedroom.

For example the amount of sunlight entering in a room willaffect the dimensions of the window openings, which will in turn affect the available space inside the room for furniture.

The overall atmospheric conditions outside, will affect the type of finishes and materials used for furnishings, linen, flooring, etc.. A bedroom on seashore will have a differentset of weather conditions to deal with than a room on a hill slope with heavy snowfall.

That's why the interior design of any living habitual spaceis an exact replica of what's happening outside. Everythingis so dynamic. A slight change in the outside world canaffect the appearance of the home altogether.
If you are trying to design your own space then this article might help to start thinking on the concept level.
With these words I end this article and hope it was useful.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya

------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya discusses some excellent tips on home renovation at Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .You will also find some great concept level thinking on bedrooms and decorating ideas.
.------------------------------------------------------------

How a Good Bedroom Design Can Boost Your Confidence.

Do you know that your bedroom is responsible for whoyou are right now.

Your own bedroom is the place which you see last when yougo to sleep and also is the first place you see when youwake in the morning.

These two are the times of the day when you are most receptive to receive any messages, good or bad.
Hey, what did I say? Good or Bad. Yes, it's true, anythingyou see, feel, touch, smell, listen to at this time of theday will contribute in making your "personality", no matterwhether it works for you or not.

That's why you can make use of this fundamental reality tounconsciously program yourself almost automatically, bytaking care of your bedroom. In short you can "design"your bedroom as a self help tool.

The term "design" in itself has a much wider scope. Designis not just color scheme, materials, lighting, furniture andits arrangement in the bedroom. It includes the personalityof the person who is going to use it.

While in a bedroom, a person is more relaxed, feels moresecured and is open minded to accept more positive messages. That's why it is necessary to understand thepersonality of a person before designing his/her bedroom.
His/her likes/dislikes, moods, what motivates him/her canaffect the entire bedroom design strategy. This design strategy includes the type of furniture to be used (iron, wood, canecontemporary), color schemes to be used (cool, warm, composite)types of flooring materials(tiles, carpets, wooden floors,PVC floors), the overall theme of the bedroom(oriental, contemporary)

That's why a good bedroom design is one which creates a feeling of security for it's owner. Use of natural elementssuch as plants/flowers can greatly add to the motivationalcapacity of a bedroom space. Since plants and flowers already have a beauty of their own, can greatly enhance theaura of the bedroom.

A bedroom which is nothing but a full mess, is harmful fordevelopment of a healthy mind. A room full of clutter andunnecessary garbage gives a negative message to yoursubconscious. As far as possible, office work, computersshould be avoided in a bedroom.

If there is a scarcity of space and such situation arisesall care must be taken to keep the work clean and healthy. This requires a little effort, but payoffs are huge if doneon a regular basis.

I hope this article was informative and positive.

Copyright 2005 Shrinivas Vaidya

------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya discusses some excellent tips on home renovation at Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .You will also find some great concept level thinking on bedrooms and decorating ideas.
------------------------------------------------------------

The concept of positive and negative spaces in interior design.

When talking about positive and negative spaces it is importantto first understand the term "space" in itself. In interiordesign any volume which is being contained within masonrywalls and are habitable is normally termed as space.

The volume that gets enclosed in an architectural structure isjust a tiny fraction of the vast amount of "universal space".By universal space I mean the cosmos or the gigantic vastnessin which our planet and all other planets, starts etc.. survive.

The volume, which gets contained in a building, varies according tothe use of the building. A cinema theatre and a bedroom will surelyhave different purposes and hence volume. Volume gets defined bythree factors, length, breadth and height of the habitable room.

But irrespective of the volume both types of buildings mentioned above have "spaces" enclosed within. Lets consider the bedroomfor the sake of this article.

A typical bedroom will have certain architectural elements attached to it at the time of construction of the building andcertain "imposed" later for the sake of proper function. Alsoit is important to note that no one builds bedrooms in isolation.A bedroom is always a part of the entire home plan.

The architectural elements already present in a bedroom would beattached toilet and its entrance door, attached terrace or backyard entry, attached study room. All these spaces havework like supplementary role in a bedroom. Now the "imposed"elements are the furniture in the room, other accessories thatwill occupy the space in a bedroom.

A typical bedroom will have a double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, side tables, study table, book shelf etc.. All theseare necessary to use the room in a comfortable way. When thesefurniture are arranged in a room what remains is termed as the"circulation space". Now most people think that the volume ofthe furniture and the remaining empty space must have a balancebetween them. Because it is not the occupied volume, but theempty volume, that decides the comfort levels inside a room.

If you visit a store room on the basement of a house which isnormally used to dump useless things, you will notice that theempty space remained is very less and hence the comfort levelsthere, are poor. So in interior design the "empty space" isequally important. Now here comes the concept of positive andnegative spaces. Normally a negative space is considered aspace which can not be used for a specific human activity.

But this is not true. As said above the over all comfort levelsin a room is determined by both the occupied as well as non-occupiedspaces. So any smallest piece of floor area that is not being occupied is going to contribute to the comfort levels.

That's why the terminology of being positive and negative as far as usability is considered becomes a personal matter. Whatyou think as a useless and non functional space can become agood place for your kid and his friends when they play hide and seek. It's just the viewpoint to look at thing that matters.

Also a little creativity can alter a non-functional space intoa functional one. But remember what I said earlier, in interiordesign empty space matters. It is not just beautiful furniture, costly paints/wallpapers/paintings that are going to decorateyour rooms. Finally it boils down to only one thing, YOU and YOUR mental as well as physical health in that space.

I hope this article was helpful to everyone.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya discusses some excellent tips on home renovation at Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .You will also find some great concept level thinking on bedrooms and decorating ideas.
------------------------------------------------------------

How to achieve indirect lighting in interior design.

For our planet the sun is a major lighting source. The light which we receive on earth varies in intensity and quantity dependingupon the geographical location on earth.

For normal human activities inside the building what we require isindirect light. There is a major difference between direct andindirect light. Direct light from the sun produces light inhigh quantities but also generates a lot of heat, which may notbe required or at sometimes can be uncomfortable.

Indirect lighting produces a good quality diffused light by eliminating the heat that's being produced from sunlight. Interior designers always look for various ways that will increasethe chances of achieving good quality sunlight into a room.

the basic principle behind indirect lighting is easy. Obstructthe direct sunlight on a surface that will absorb the heat andthrow our or disperse the light alone uniformly inside the room.

This requires a good study of various light entry points of a given room and selecting surfaces that will receive direct sunlight. Then applying finishes to these materials that will absorb the heat but at the same time reflect a lot of light to the interiors.

There is a major challenge in doing this.

Let's say that I select a bedroom to be treated for indirect lighting.I select a plane wall opposite or adjacent to the window opening thatwill receive direct sunlight. If I paint the wall with a brightcolor, it will definitely reflect the light in the entire room, butat the same time create a "glare" that can be quite uncomfortablefor the users.

So just creating reflecting surfaces is not the solution. The surfaces that will reflect the direct light and at the same time won't produce a glare are recommended here.

This can be easily achieved using artificial lighting. The greatestadvantage of artificial lighting is that you can select the numberof light sources in the first place. Then light sources can be very creatively be hidden using shaders and other design elements, so thatthe light spots can be directed towards reflective surfaces.

A very common use of this technique is, project the light spots ona bright reflective ceiling and the ceiling will uniformly dispersethe light in the rest of the room. Projecting the light on ceiling will eliminate the problem of causing glare, since the ceiling is always above the normal eye level.

Using a centralized light source on the ceiling and throwing the light on adjacent walls is also a good solution. This will also save a lotof wiring lengths, cutting your cost in the fixing up of the totalelectrical system.

A careful choice of reflective surfaces inside a room can greatly enhance the light qualities in a room. In interiors there are hundredsof objects that receive light. Objects such as walls, furnitureceiling, floor will have a tendency to reflect light away from them.Objects like windowpanes, glass panels in the furniture will absorb or will allow the light to pass away the light thought themb reducing the heat and intensity of light.

That's why careful selection of materials during design stage cancause a good lighting solution. Also the lighting solution willdiffer from room to room depending upon which direction theroom faces outwards. For this the sun path must be taken intoconsideration. By careful study of the sun path it will be easy todecide the color schemes and finishes for satisfactory resultin indirect lighting.

I hope this article was helpful to everyone.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya discusses some excellent tips on home renovation at Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .You will also find some great concept level thinking on bedrooms and decorating ideas.
------------------------------------------------------------

5 External climatic factors that affect an interior design project.

Dear friends, the emergence of architecture in human societyhas taken a wide and distinct role in itself. Starting fromearly eras where man used to live in caves, we have seen aremarkable growth in architecture and allied fields, which includes landscape and interior design

The recent being the use of computers and "Computer Aided Design"in architecture, which allows a kind of perfection in designand execution process of any building and its interiors.

In spite of all the technological advances, the primary functionof any building structure remains the same, protection fromoutside environment and natural calamities.

Starting from a place to "protect yourself' from nature, interiordesign has become a "status symbol". Today's interior spaces havea two way channel, first and the obvious one is the function andsecond one is aesthetical, which is a little complex one.

It is quite obvious that the interior design of a space is directlyrelated to the function of the space. This means that two spaceslike a home and an office have two well defined functions, henceit will reflect in every aspect of the interior design solution.

But apart from the there is one more important factor thatwill affect each and every aspect of the final design solution, and that's the geographical location of the architectural structure.

A hotel building at seashore and the other one at a hill station will have a completely different sets of problems to deal with.Lets see in a short way what are the external factors that canaffect an interior design solution

1) Amount of direct sunlight.
Locations on the far northern or southern hemisphere receive less amount of sunlight than those at the equator. That's why here thebuilding with more use of plane glass are used. Also artificiallighting is given much importance.

2) External temperature.
External temperature directly affects the comfort level of internalspaces. Since external walls act as a "buffer" between internaland external climate, it is necessary to use the right constructionmaterial for walls. Depending upon the wall material the internalfinishes also have limitations. This is especially true forstructure that face extreme climatic ups and downs, such as locations in the gulf countries.

Hence selecting materials that can sustain heavy climatic changeson a daily scale is challenging.

3) Humidity and Rainfall.
Because of the salty nature of air around coastal areas extra careis taken for building construction materials, which can directlyaffect the entire budget of the project.

4)Wind Direction.
Wind direction and wind speed also has direct affect on the interiors.Heavy winds exert a load on the external walls of the structure, thus affecting the construction technology.

5)Land Structure and Topography.
Land structure is the nature of land on which the structure stands.Various types of land structures include rock solid, marshy land,etc...Topography of land is classified as plane or a site with slope. If the site of the structure is on a hill slope, extra precautionsare taken to allow the natural flow of rainwater that the structuremight block. Depending upon the quality of land surface the construction technology will change.

As far as interiors are concerned a well planned structure withproperly thought spaces is a must because internally the spacesget divided into various floors.

From the above short discussion it can be said that external factorsand environment greatly affect the way structures are built and thus directly affecting the interior qualities of the structure.

Technological advancements have allowed us to artificially controlthe internal environment of a building irrespective of what's happening outside. But a carefully studied and well planned architectural space can easily cut the extra cost of air conditioningand other ventilation services.

I hope this article was informative to everyone.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .
Here you will find some great concept level design tips for bedroom sets
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

5 Essential Factors Of a Good Bedroom Design

Dear friends, successful design is a relative term. What is goodor successful for me may not be so from your point of view.

But when it comes to interior design, there are certain factorswhich are always present no matter what the use of the space is.Let's have a look at the bare minimum design factors a spacemust have so that it can be called a comfortable and habitable space.

1) Proportions of the room.

The word "proportions" is always used in the design field. Everyinterior space which is being used by humans must be proportionate.Proportions are extremely important in any design.

Every 3 dimensional object has properties such as length, width andheight. When these 3 are in accordance with the proportions ofvarious parts of human body we call it a "proportionate" design.

For example a handle of a wardrobe must have dimensions such that our fingers can hold it properly for effortless and smooth action.or a chair seat must have enough are so that we can sit comfortably.Again the type of seating will change the dimensions of the chair.A chair in waiting lobby of a bank will be different than a sofa.
So proportions play a major role in interior design and furniturein your bedroom must also follow these rules. The dimensions ofthe double bed, it's height from floor level, height of wardrobe, dimensions of dressing table, etc...all these matter as far asfunction is concerned.

2) Natural light entering the room.

There is no alternative for naturally lit spaces. Sun being thestrongest source of light and also helps to keep the biologicalbalance of the planet Earth, it is very much necessary in the interior spaces.

Study shows that natural light can penetrate in an interior spaceup to 20 feet (Approx. 7 meters). Using appropriate position for window opening can easily achieve this.

3) Natural Ventilation

A free and unobstructed flow of air can be a great way to keepthe atmosphere cool and clean in an interior space. This is possiblewhere bedrooms are located at the corner of the building where 2sides of the bedrooms have external faces.

Where it is not possible to provide windows on adjacent faces oropposite faces, a ventilator above the window is used. The concept behind the ventilator is simple. The lower half the bedroom height is always used by the habitants. Because of the constant use of thisare the air temperature rises and air becomes light weight.

This hot air rises above and must need an escape. At such times ventilators above the window openings play a major role ofcirculating the flow through the room in an upward direction. When the lower portion of the room becomes empty fresh air from window takes its position, thus maintaining a balance.

4) Clear Movement Patterns.

Every bedroom has certain exit points attached to it. Such asa) Exit to balcony/ terrace.b) Exit to toilet block/ walk in closetc) Exit to backyard (if on ground floor)

If we draw an imaginary line from the entry point to all theseexit points, ideally the should not intersect. Since all otherareas are already occupied with furniture, keeping the insidecirculation space clear, helps to achieve a comfortablespace.

5) Good Provision For Inclusion Of Accessories.

Accessories in a bedroom have equal importance. When all otherfactors mentioned above are fairly met what remains is theuse of accessories which can make quite a lot of difference in thecomfort level of the habitants.
a) The first and the most important is a good provision ofartificial lighting. This includes basic lighting as well as special decorative lighting for decorative purposes.b) Special provision for upholstery and linen. Small details suchas curtain rods, provision for bed canopies can make the room extra decorative.c) Use materials that are easy to clean and maintain. For exampleif you are using PVC flooring sheets on top of standard tiled flooring,is it washable? Think of what will happen if your child uses it as a painting canvas.

The discussion above was an attempt to look for some universalfactor that can affect the comfort level of the users in a bedroom. Finally the feeling which you get when you use your bedroom is mostimportant and is a good measure to decide the success factor ofthe design project.

However it is important to note that these are not the only factorsthat need to be looked upon, but I'm sure these can help as a startingpoint for further creative thinking.

I hope this article was informative to everyone.
Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .Visit today to find some great concept level design tips for bedroom sets.
------------------------------------------------------------

A Study of Furniture Elements For Smaller Bedrooms

When we enter any bedroom the first thing we notice is thefurniture. All humans always see interiors and all decoratingideas that are executed in "elevation". This means we alwayssee the face of the furniture.

Every object in the bedroom large or small has a direct relationto dimensions of the human body. This relation with our body decidesthe comfort level in a bedroom. If a double bed is oversized, itwill naturally occupy more floor space by reducing the volumeof empty space. That's why proportions of every furniture piece are vital to maintain comfort levels.

Let's examine some important factors about bedroom furniture units.

1) Double Bed....

This piece of furniture occupies the maximum amount of floorspace. A typical double bed measures about 1800mmX1800mmX450mm height.Of course this is a comfortable sized bed but can vary depending upon the requirements at the interior site.

Double beds come in steel/wrought iron/wooden frames. The most important point to note here is that 80% of the structuralframework gets covered by linen. The mattress, bed sheets, pillowscover most of the part that supports the load of the users. That's why the real beauty of a double bed lies in the linen used. Linen defines the shape of a double bed to some extent.

The patterns and decorations used on the linen also ads to the overall design theme of the bedroom. The headboard of the double bed (the part of the double bed which stands behind the head when we lie down on the bed) is a prominent feature and can beused effectively by using semi-circular shapes.

One creative use of the headboard is that we can add artificial lighting in it by providing blur glass and the effect ofindirect lighting can be created. This is helpful if the masterwants to read a book or magazine by relaxing in the bed itself.

Most of the time we see that the space below the mattress is usedfor storing linen. This is done in the form of sliding drawers which slide out from sides.

I have seen one more creative way of supporting the platform where the master lies down. By giving an angular slant to thesupporting structure of the bed we can save valuable circulationspace in a small bedroom. To understand what exactly I am talkingabout, just visit the webpage below. (Scroll down to the bottomto see a pictorial presentation of this method)
Teen Bedroom Design And Decorating Ideas

2) Wardrobe....

A wardrobe is another element in a bedroom that creates a significant impact on the entire interior design theme. We always see a wardrobe in elevation. A typical wardrobe ismost of the times measures 2100mm in height. The length anddepth of the wardrobe differs from location to location butis typically around 1200mm in length and 600mm in depth fora single person's wardrobe.

The internal compartments of a wardrobe are divided keeping in mind the various styles and sizes of clothes we wear. Theinternal design of a wardrobe also depends upon regional influences. For example in Japan, women wear a typical kind of dress orin Indian, most women wear a dress code called as "Saree" whichneeds much more space similar to trousers.

Depending upon the requirements a wardrobe might also includea small "money safe" with locking arrangements, drawers for keepingsmaller sized clothes such as under-garments.

3) Dressing Table....

A dressing table is a place to be happy about. This is theplace where we spend a lot of time shaping our faces. A small bedroom may not have enough space for a dressing table. At such times the outer faces of the wardrobe can be used to fix a full height mirror. This also creates a reflection of the rest of the room itand thus creates an illusion of more space.

A wardrobe needs special spotlight arrangements to throw lightspot on the person in front of the mirror. This will includea flat mirror and small storage spaces for the makeup-kits, perfumes, etc...

In a case where the mirror is fixed on the outer surface of thewardrobe shutter,(as mentioned above) the storage space formake-up kit can be arranged inside the wardrobe.

4) Study Table with extra storage desk....

A study table is just a place to do some important daily tasksSometimes it is useful to keep a computer on it. This study table can bedesigned to include an elevated storage space for books/files.

This combination of a study table and a book shelf is a greatway to save space in small bedrooms. If the table top in notoccupied by a computer or other objects, it can be made to foldand thus increasing more floor area.
This was a very basic study of the most commonly used furniture items in a bedroom. There are hundreds of creative ways toimprove the performance and efficiency of furniture items in interior design. There are two major aspects to a picture frame, theframe itself and the subject of the picture.

When it comes to the subject of the picture a vast majorityand almost infinite subjects are available to choose from. Photosor hand drawn pictures of birds, animals, natural beauty, people, portraits, birds, scenery, architecture, cityscapes, mountains, oceans and sea, geometric shapes, non-geometric shapes, abstractshapes, strokes, flowers, interiors, vehicles, and a whole lotmore...can be "framed" to form a beautiful picture frame.

When it comes to choosing the exact subject of the picture frame, one must recognize the surroundings of the interior space, location where the picture frame is going to appear, the quality and dimensions of the wall surface where the picture frame will appear. It is always not true that the picture will be put on the wall. Sometimes small frames standing on the table can greatly add the liveliness of a room.

It is important to consider that we are going to use the painting as a "filler" on the wall. The space on the wall, which is empty, gets filled up with interesting array of colors present in the picture.Colors attract the attention of the visitor and creates moods in his/hermind.

Let's see an example of how a picture frame creates moods in our mind. Here I use 4 photographs of kittens and frame them to for picture frames to use on an empty wall in my bedroom. I locate theseframes such that I see them prominently when I enter the bedroom. The real life photos of kittens instantly create a soothing andcompassionate feelings in me which are in tune with how I feel in my bedroom sleeping on my bed.

On the other hand if I use a photo of the "Ford Mustang" , my feelings would be more of a alert nature because of the various memories attached to it previously. On the other hand if I usethe Ford Mustang photo in my study room, that would greatly helpto warm up the atmosphere.
That's why subjects that create a soothing mindset such as naturalbeauty, photos/portraits of children, etc.. can be used where thehuman activity is of low nature such as bedrooms, bathrooms, etc..

There is one more element that can affect the choice of a pictureframe in an interior space. The "design theme" of a space must be given importance while selecting the picture. If the interior design theme is of oriental nature, then picture with more use of colors will look good. This is because in an oriental designstyle more emphasis is given on "decorative elements" such as drapes, cornices, tiny plaster treatments, window and door frames, decorations in brass, etc..

To enhance the continuity of this theme on the empty wall surface a painting with more detailed subject should be used. Picture ofnatural scenery is best suited for this, because "nature" is full of variety of colors and their shades, that can greatly enhance the beauty of the space.

A little creative thinking can add some more interest to the picture. For example what if I totally remove the frame which holds the picture intact and "press" the picture between two glass plates.Only metallic clamps at the four corners can be used to hold theglass plates together. Artificial light used in the room will thencast a shadow of the picture on the wall behind and can add "depth"to the picture surface.

You can also go for your own design and style for the frame that goes around the picture. Picture frames with the ability to replace the picture is a good starting point. This gives to control to test what's good and impressive in your room. This article was just a starting pointto ignite the imagination in your mind. I hope it has helped you and you have enjoyed the text.

Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya

Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .Visit today to find some great concept level design tips for bedroom sets

An overview of commonly used materials in interior design

Every interior space has some unique qualities attached to it.If you have visited a natural outdoor space like a forest, youwill notice thousands of varieties of "textures" in the form ofwooden barks, leaves, ground surfaces, stones, water etc...
All these natural elements create a unique visual effect andall visual effects have a corresponding effect on human mind. That's why when used carefully textures can create wonders in interior design.
The most commonly used materials in interior design and decorationare wood for furniture, cloth for linen, rubber/leather for flooringor upholstery, paper as wallpapers, plastic for accessories like lampshades and other decorative items, steel for furniture.
Let's take a closer look at these materials and their textural qualities.
1) Wood....
Most commonly used for furniture, door frames, shutters. Themain reason behind this is it is easy to work with wood. Theart of carpentry is an age old profession. Because of thenature of wood like softness and the same time the amount ofstrength it can withstand, makes it a popular choice amongstfurniture designers.
A fully polished wood surface gives a very rich finish and projects user friendliness. Also wood comes in many varietiesand colors, each having its own pros and cons.
2) Cloth....
A very natural choice for linen. Since a cloth finish is a smoothone it is most suitable in a bedroom where comfort is a veryvital factor. The biggest advantage of various types of clothis that most types are washable so maintenance is easy.
Cloth has one more important quality that it can be "painted" for expressing detailed decorative patterns, that can greatlyadd to the beauty of the space.
It is also possible to do "embroidery" on cloth, if painting isnot a good choice or budget doesn't allow. Depending upon the weave of the cloth strands the thickness, transparency, etc. can beeasily achieved. This makes the cloth most suitable for variouskinds of uses such as linen, curtains, bed sheets, etc...

3) Rubber/Leather....
Rubber is used in the form of PVC flooring, is easily availableand most importantly is wash proof and durable. It can be printed uponusing design patterns of any style, rich with colors. Comes in theform of large sheets or even individual tiles.
Unlike tiled flooring the PVC flooring is much less affected byatmospheric changes. Other types of tiled floorings or even wooden flooring can have a direct effect on the surface because of theexpansion and contraction of the flooring material. A PVC flooring is glued to the tiled flooring I hope you have benefited from thesewords.
4) Plastic....
There are infinite uses of this great material. The only disadvantageenvironmentalist have pointed out that it is not bio-degradable.
Because of its artificial nature it can be "manufactured" in various.colors, shapes, sizes, strength. The biggest advantage of plastic isit is waterproof and electrical shockproof. That's why mainlyused for electrical accessories. It is lightweight as compared to othermaterial types. Entire furniture pieces such as chairs, tablescan be easily molded out as a seamless model in plastic.
5) Steel/Iron....
Steel is mostly used in interior design where the main purpose isto give support and carry weight to the floor. That's why main use of steel is done to create the structural frame that carriesthe weight of the people who are going to use the furniturepiece.
A very common type of steel is the "Stainless Steel". Because of itsshining nature, it very quickly gives a rich quality to the objectbeing used on and enhances the overall quality of the interiorspace.
Furniture objects that have been designed with a combinationof wood and steel look much balanced from aesthetic point of view. But doing so requires a careful study of the joiner details, especially where wood and steel joint together.
The following discussion was only a brief introduction of the types of material being used in interior design industry. Everyday more and more good quality and cheaper material types arebeing presented in the market. I hope this article was informative to everyone.
Copyright Shrinivas Vaidya
------------------------------------------------------------
Shrinivas Vaidya is the webmaster of Bedroom-Design-And-Decorating-Ideas.com .Here you will find some great concept level design tips for bedroom sets.Visit today
.------------------------------------------------------------
